Aesthetic surgery of the ears is most frequently performed due to their protrusion.

Other disfigurements may be also corrected with special surgical techniques. Corrections may involve change in anatomy of the auricle itself or its position.

Besides aesthetic improvement, ear surgery boost patient (children in particular) self-esteem and confidence.
Surgery is performed in local anesthesia occasionally with analgosedation.

Skin incisions are placed on posterior aspect of the auricle. Resulting scars are imperceptible after heeling is complete.

Patient operated in local anesthesia may go home immediately after the surgery. Those operated in local anesthesia with analgosedation are monitored for 3-6h before home discharge.

Return to non-strenuous activity is possible from next day after the surgery. Normal activity may be resumed after 1-2 weeks, although ears must be protected from contusions for additional 2-3 months.

Final aesthetic result is long-lasting and can be seen 4-6 weeks after the surgery when edema subside.
